Laser Hair Removal Cost
At first glance, male laser hair removal is freak’n expensive! Matter of fact, it is the most common question ask on the subject. Here is another aspect of laser treatment that you must consider. If you are in a populated metro area like New York or in California, you will have plenty of options available to you. At the same time though, this would be the wrong time to go looking for a bargain. If you get 5 quotes and one is way below the other 4 – you might want to avoid that one. They may be cheaper because they are not as experienced. Therefore elevating the level of risk you are taking. Do your homework. Different methods cost different.
So many things come into play here. Body type, hair type, skin color, hair color, region and area. Even the same clinic may have various packages available to you. After the initial consultation you should have a good idea of what kind of laser is going to be used and how many treatments you are looking at.
For example, Clinic “A” might offer a ‘contract’ or package. They estimate they it will take 12 visits to remove the hair on your back, and if you buy them all in advance they will give you a discounted $500 per treatment. 12 visits to do the shoulders might be $400 per visit. – The very next person might want the exact same procedure but have different color hair so they might be charged differently.
Clinic “B” charges by the minute. Lets say $125 per 15 minutes. You are still at $500 per hour like clinic “A” . But here you are relying on the speed of the technicians and the machine it’s self.
Price per pulse. Clink “C” will charge $300 for the first 150 pulses and a buck/ pulse after that. You might get your back done for the same $500 as the first 2 clinics but it’s hard to tell. Each machine will cover a different amount of area… Different diameters per pulse so bring your calculator.
So we’ve gotten estimates from 3 different clinics and estimates of $500 each – which is about right. It’s the ones that say they can do it for $300 that you might want to avoid.
Prices will go down with time and advancements in equipment, but the idea is that they should all be about the same, and if you buy a contract you are going to save money. Each one of our examples came out to be about $7,500. That’s a lot of money to spend for most people in a one year time frame. But how much are you out to save for all the years of not buying razors, and cream and wax as the amount of time not spent doing it?
